User interface and workflow enhancements 2023.0

A great deal of effort goes into improving the user interface and workflow for each release, based on feedback from you, our customers.

Each year we send out surveys, release beta builds and encourage you to tell us about your experience so we can make it more enjoyable. We encourage you to let us know, via social media, product forums, surveys, or support, how we can help make your experience even better.

Importing profiles from CSV files

Various processing settings such as filling speed, packing pressure, surface temperature and gas injection settings can be specified as profile data. All profiles can either be entered manually or imported from a CSV file. All such profile imports have now been standardized to interpret the values in the CSV file according to the current display units.

Viewing Midplane and Dual Domain Microchip Encapsulation results from prior releases

In the new Moldflow release it is not possible to view Paddle-shift and Wire-sweep results from prior releases for Midplane and Dual-domain mesh types. This is due to a change in the analysis sequence definitions. Study files prepared in prior releases can be rerun in the new release of Moldflow Insight and all results will then be available. Likewise, analyses performed in the new release cannot be viewed in prior releases. This restriction does not apply to 3D Microchip Encapsulation analyses.
