Trouble communicating with SCM

Problem

A dialog pops up when you click the Analyze button with the text: We're having trouble communicating with Simulation Compute Manager (SCM) First check your internet connection. If the problem persists, confirm that SCM is installed

What to do

Check that the Autodesk Simulation Compute Manager service is running.

  1. Open the Windows Services application.

  2. Click on Autodesk Simulation Compute Manager.

  3. Status should be Running. If it is not, start the service by clicking the Start button.
