Best Fit

Best Fit is the default method applied to deflection results.

Best Fit is initially used when displaying a deflection result. With Best Fit, the deflection from each node is minimized. Practically, it makes the part look like it is shrinking to the center of the part, as shown in the following figure. Best fit is commonly used to compare the warped shape from one analysis to another. When the shape of the warpage changes, interpreting the magnitude of the warpage from one analysis to another may result in incorrect conclusions. Some sort of anchor system should be used in this case.
