Hot gate (3D)

Use the hot gate (3D) element type to assign valve gate properties to tetrahedral elements as follows:

1. Select all elements in the cross section of a valve gate and assign them to the Hot gate (3D) property.
2. Assign a valve gate controller to the Hot gate (3D) elements.

Notes:

1. You cannot use the valve gate open/close velocity property for 3D valve gates. Only instant open/close is available for 3D valve gates.
2. Assign a valve gate controller property to all tetrahedral elements across the cross section of the gate. If you don't, the 3D valve gate will not close properly.
