Ensure that the Mold surface temperature is 80° C.
This is the recommended Mold surface temperature for this material.
Ensure that the Melt temperature is 260° C.
This is the recommended Melt temperature for this material.
Set the Filling control to Flow rate of 48 cm^3/s.
In the previous task, a Fill analysis was run on a single cavity. In the Model details section of the Analysis Log, the volume of a single cavity is 13.1058 cm^3. The Process settings section of the log shows a Fill time of 1.1 seconds. This is the time we want all four cavities to fill. To achieve this, we need to specify a flow rate given by:
(No. Cavities x Cavity volume) / Fill time
or (4 x 13.1058) / 1.1 = 47.657 cm^3 /s.
This value was rounded to 48 cm^3/s.
Click Edit Profile for the Pack/holding control.
Set the profile 0 - 80%, 10 - 80%.
Click OK twice.
Click
(Home > Analysis > Analyze).
Ensure a computer is selected. Typically the localhost is selected.
Click Launch. The analysis takes around 15 minutes to run.
When the analysis is finished, click Logs to close the Logs panel.
In the next tutorials you investigate the results of the analysis.
