Warp analysis for Resin Transfer Molding

In addition to Flow (Fill+Pack), you can now include a Warp analysis in Resin Transfer Molding (RTM).

This feature is supported for the following mesh types:

To run a warp analysis in RTM, you need to provide information about the fiber mat composite material. To this end, a new tab is provided in the Preform element (3D) dialog, with a default material and default composite orientation settings already preset. In addition, the composite orientation follows the local surface, by default.

The mechanical properties of the fiber mat composite material are calculated from the properties of the resin and the fiber (preform) materials, by default.

If you have mechanical properties data, specific to your own fiber mat composite material, select Specified. You can either enter the data and save it to the open study, or you can create your own database and import the material from your personal database so you can also use it in other studies.
