The Text Editor

The text editor allows you to enter tabular data from another source. This is useful f you have a lot of tabular data, since it may not be convenient to type it directly into the text boxes.

This feature is controlled by the Goto Text Editor button which appears on the following Input Data pages:

  • Specific Heat
  • Thermal Conductivity
  • Raw Viscosity Data
  • Raw PVT Data

You can enter information into the text editor by typing directly into each data box or use the copy/paste feature from another program.

Entering data using the text editor

On some Input Data pages, it is possible to enter data into tables using the text editor feature.

  1. Click the Go to text editor button. The table will change to a blank text screen.
  2. Note how many columns of information are required for the data table
  3. Enter information in two ways:
  • Type the numerical text into the table. When separating the different numerical amounts, remember to use a tab stroke or space bar entry. Also, use one line for each complete record.
  • Use the Copy/Paste feature to transfer the information you want to insert into the table.

Note: It is recommended that you use a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel for this procedure. 4. Click Go to table. The data is inserted automatically into the table.
