Export TimeLiner Schedules

You can export schedule data from TimeLiner in CSV and Microsoft Project XML formats. Data is exported in default order, without taking account of TimeLiner column order or selection. You can also export a schedule to a Selection Set, which will export the entire schedule into the Sets window. The hierarchy of your schedule is reflected in the sets window, for example, if your schedule contains levels (topmost items and contained items), the topmost items are displayed as a folder in the Sets window, with contained items within it. You can organize the exported sets data as you wish, by sorting or placing scheduled items into folders.

If you are exporting to XML there are additional options available on the Import/Export Page that you can use to export task start dates and durations. Because different calenders types may be used in external project management software it recommended that you manage you task dates and durations in either Autodesk Navisworks 2022 or using external project management software, but not in both.

Note: When exporting a CSV from TimeLiner, the hierarchy of tasks is not represented. All available tasks are exported without any hierarchical structure. This means that collapsing/expanding task nodes in the TimeLiner grid does not affect whether or not tasks are output to CSV.

For best results when exporting non-ASCII characters to Microsoft Excel it is recommended that you use the Unicode UTF-8 with BOM option on the Import/Export Page.
