Recover Your Work

In the event that Navisworks closes before you save changes to your file, you can either automatically reload the last file you were working on, or manually load a backup file.

1. Open Navisworks.

2. To open the most recent saved version of the file you were working on, click Yes on the automatic prompt:

   

3. To manually load a backup file, Click No on the prompt, and then click the application button > Open > Open .

4. In the Open dialog box, browse to the folder that contains the backup files. By default, it’s Username\AppData\Roaming\ProductFolder\AutoSave.

5. In the Files of Type dropdown list, select Navisworks File Set (*.nwf).

6. Select the relevant file and click Open.

7. When you are prompted to save the file with a different name, click Save As.

   

8. In the Save As dialog box, enter a new file name, and browse to the desired save location.

9. Click Save.
