Perform Model Takeoff
Select Objects for Takeoff
Click an object or group in the Scene view or Selection Tree.
Note: Ensure the Selection Tree is displayed as a Standard tree in order to view objects.
Select All of the Same Objects
- Click an object (group
or above) in the Scene view or Selection Tree.
- Click Home > Select & Search > Select Same > Same Name or Same Type.
Select Corresponding Takeoff Objects
To select takeoffs associated with an object:
- Select an object or group in the Scene view or Selection Tree.
- Right click > Quantification > Select Corresponding Takeoff Objects.
If there are any takeoff objects associated with the selection, they are highlighted in the Quantification workbook.
Takeoff using an Existing Item
In the Quantification Workbook, select the item you want to use for the takeoff.
In the Scene view or Selection Tree, select an object, group or the entire Selection Tree.
Tip: To select multiple objects or groups, press and hold Shift whilst selecting.Do one of the following:
- Drag and drop the selection onto an Item in the Navigation pane, or into the Takeoff pane.
- Right-click your selection > Quantification > Takeoff to: (name of existing Item).
- On the Quantification toolbar, click Model Takeoff > Takeoff to Selected.
The takeoff appears in the Quantification Workbook, under the selected item.
Takeoff using a New Item
In the Scene view or Selection Tree, select an object, group or the entire Selection Tree.
Tip: To select multiple objects or groups, press and hold Shift whilst selecting.Do one of the following:
- Drag and drop the selection onto an Item in the Navigation pane, or into the Takeoff pane.
- Right-click selected object(s) > Quantification > Takeoff.
- On the Quantification toolbar, click Model Takeoff > Takeoff.
To rename the new item, double-click the Item Name in the Item Catalog.
