How to create a deployment for Navisworks Freedom and Navisworks Exporters for a silent install & uninstall

Solution:

Follow these steps:

Note: The following steps use Navisworks Freedom as an example, they can apply for Navisworks Exporters (Navisworks NWC Export Utility) as well. 

Silent Uninstall

Version 2025, 2026

1. Download the Navisworks Freedom 2025 from Navisworks 3D Viewer Free Download (the 2 files).
2. Run the executable (File 001_002) to extract the install media into a desired folder (e.g. C:\Autodesk). When the Install Wizard appears, cancel the installation.
3. Open an elevated Command Prompt (press WIN+R > type cmd > press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER).
4. Execute the command based on the related product to start a silent install from this list:

• Navisworms Freedom 2025 Silent Install 

  "C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk_Navisworks_Freedom_2025_Win_64bit_db_002_002\image\Setup.exe" --silent
  

Versions 2022-2024

1. Download the latest Navisworks Freedom 2022 or later from Navisworks 3D Viewer Free Download.

2. Run the installer to extract the install media into a desired folder (e.g. C:\Autodesk). When the Install Wizard appears, cancel the installation.
3. Open an elevated Command Prompt (press WIN+R > type cmd > press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER).
4. Execute the command based on the related product to start a silent install from this list:

• Navisworks Freedom 2022 Silent Install

"C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Navisworks_Freedom_2022_Win_64bit_dlm\Setup.exe" --silent

• Navisworks Exporters 2022 Silent Install
  

"C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Navisworks_Exporters_2022_Win_64bit_dlm_R2\Setup.exe" --silent

• Navisworks Exporters 2022 Silent Uninstall

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1\Installer.exe" -i uninstall --silent --trigger_point system -m "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ODIS\metadata\{E1463BF6-E3D8-3342-8413-62CD4DE8015E}\bundleManifest.xml" -x "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ODIS\metadata\{E1463BF6-E3D8-3342-8413-62CD4DE8015E}\SetupRes\manifest.xsd"

Note:

• You can use the previously listed command(s) for a custom script or as a base to distribute with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly known as System Center Configuration Manager or SCCM).
• If an offline deployment is needed use the "--noupdate" switch in the installation script. Use as follows:

"Setup.exe --noupdate -q"

Versions 2021 or earlier

1. Download Navisworks Freedom 2021 or earlier from Navisworks 3D Viewer Free Download.

2. Run the installer to extract the install media into a desired folder (such C:\Autodesk). When the Install Wizard appears, cancel the installation.
3. Open an elevated Command Prompt (press WIN+R > type cmd > press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER).
4. Execute the following command to start a silent install, an example for Navisworks Freedom 2021 will be:

"C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Navisworks_Freedom_2021_Win_64bit_dlm\Setup.exe" /W /q /I
