Use the Laminates and Global Plies sub-items in the Composite Layups branch of the tree to define, review, or edit laminates and global plies. Composite layups are associated with shell element idealizations for composite analyses. You can access all defined laminates and global plies for shell elements in the Idealizations dialog (using the Laminate option and drop-down menu) and in the Laminate dialog (accessed using the New button).
- Right-click on
Composite Layups\Laminates in the tree and select
New; or click the
New Laminate button in the Idealizations dialog. The
Laminate Dialog opens up.
- Right-click on
Composite Layups\Global Plies; or click the
Global Ply button in the
Laminate dialog to define global plies. The following dialog appears:
