This chapter deals with AutoCAD entities that reside in AcDbDatabase structures (called “database-resident”), as well as with non-native COM objects that may be entirely unrelated to AutoCAD databases. Except where noted in this chapter, the term entity refers to a database-resident object. The term object refers to a COM object that may or may not reside in an AcDbDatabase structure.
The term property source refers to any entity or object that exposes properties to the Properties palette.
