There are several user input contexts in which the mechanisms described in this section are not designed to work. This is because these contexts bypass the standard input processing that makes the new callouts. The system cursor graphics are always disabled in these contexts, and any custom cursor graphics are also disabled when these contexts are entered because the callbacks that draw them aren't made. The following input contexts are bypassed:
- Posting modal dialogs
- ads_grread() calls from ObjectARX and AutoLISP applications
- DTEXT and TEXT acquisition
- SKETCH command
- VPOINT compass
When modal dialog boxes are posted, all digitizer tracking is completely bypassed.
