Though tools can be accessed simply by clicking their icons, most AutoCAD users expect to be able to drag tools from a tool palette to the drawing editor. Curious users also may try dragging objects from other sources to the Tool Palettes window. The Tool Palette API lets you influence the framework's response to such actions. Though the framework provides a basic level of support, you can customize what happens when your tools are dragged to another target. You can also define how your tool palette responds when objects are dropped on the Tool Palettes window, and you can customize copying and pasting activities.
