Downloading Media on PIX for Windows
If you have been granted download permission on a project, you will see that when you select certain files, that the Download option is active. If you are not able to download, please reach out to your project's Gatekeeper to discuss adjusting your permissions.
Users who have been granted download access to files can download media to computers or their iOS device. For more information about downloading on an iOS device, please see: Downloading from PIX for iOS
Download from your Inbox
While in Thumbnail View, hover over the thumbnail for a file and click on the vertical ellipsis to expose the More Actions menu, and choose Download.
While in List View, right-click the thumbnail and choose Download.
You can also choose Browse Playlist, and download the files from the Playlist window, by right-clicking and choosing Download.
Download from the Files Section
Highlight the file you wish to download and choose Download in the Top Toolbar. You can also right-click any files and choose Download.
Download while viewing
While in the viewer, choose the Download cloud in the bottom right corner to download the file you are currently viewing, or you can open the info panel, and download from there by choosing the More Actions menu > Download.
Monitor your Downloads
You can monitor your downloads by choosing Window > View Downloads
You can also customize your downloads location under Window > Update Download Directory
How are users granted download access?
Users can be granted download access to media in the project one of two ways:
- They are granted folder-level download access, meaning that the download permission is applied at the folder level. For more information on adjusting folder permissions, please see: Adjusting Folder Permissions
- They are send downloadable files via PIX's Send for Download feature
