Making notes on PIX for Browser
View notes
You can view all comments on an item in the notes panel to the right of the viewer.
If the note references a specific frame or page, you can double-click on the note to navigate there. You will also see any markup associated with the note.
If you do not see the Notes panel displayed, hover over the right side of the screen in the middle, and click the arrow when it appears to expose the Info and Notes panels.
Create a new note
To create a new note or a markup, click in the note window at the bottom of the notes panel. You will see all of your markup tools there for you as well if you need to make markups.
Type your note and then click Add Note.
By default, your note will be associated with the current frame or page. If you want to make a general note not associated with a frame or page, uncheck Attach to Current Frame or Attach to Page.
Edit or delete a note
To edit a note, click the note, and hover the cursor over the note to show the edit and delete icons at the bottom right of the note.
Select edit or delete.
Export Notes from the Viewer
Notes made on a file can be exported from PIX by clicking on the vertical ellipsis in the top right of the Notes panel and choose Export.
See what files have notes while browsing
In the Files section, you will see a Message Bubble column (this is usually the rightmost column but can be in a different position depending on how you have customized your column view).
This is the Notes icon and it will turn white when notes have been made on a file.
Export Notes while browsing
You can also export notes from the notes panel when browsing a playlist, or viewing a file in the folder section by exposing the file’s notes panel, and clicking the vertical ellipsis, then choosing Export.
Currently, this platform can only export notes as a CSV.
Our PIX 2 applications do offer additional format choices for note exports.
Quick notes
While Quick Notes can be used on PIX for Browser, the creation and management of Quick notes are unavailable on this platform. To manage and create Quick Notes, please use one of our PIX 2 applications.
If you already have some Quick Notes set up, you can find them by clicking the Quick Note icon next to the Note icon in the bottom right of the Notes Panel.
Who can see your note?
Editing a note’s visibility on the Browser or Windows applications is not supported at this time.
Your note will either be private to you, visible to all, or visible to a customized set of users on your project depending on your project and user settings. As of now, customizing notes permissions is only available in our PIX 2 applications.
