Playing content on PIX for Browser

Playing content on PIX is as simple as double-clicking on a file. Video content starts playing automatically and a user has a variety of functions they can utilize to maximize their viewing experience.

Select items to view

Click on the message or thumbnails to view the media included in a message. This will display a media viewer.

To return to your inbox, click the “X” at the left of the viewer.

Or, click “Inbox” in the top left of the bin.

Play, pause, fast forward, rewind, and loop clips

To play and pause, use the playback controls below the viewer.

Or, use the spacebar keyboard shortcut to play and pause.

To fast forward or rewind by 2x, click and hold the fast forward or rewind button.

To move frame by frame pause the clip and hold down "K" while hitting "L" (to frame forward) or "J" (to frame backward).

To loop an entire clip, click the Loop button in the playback controls.

To navigate to a frame, drag the playback marker to the desired location on the timeline.

Resume Playback

The orange progress bar allows you to quickly see how far along you are in the file. Pick up where you left off on audio, clips, PDFs, and playlists between your browser, Windows, tvOS, and iOS platforms.

Reviewing content in the Viewer

Expose the Info and Notes panel or Bin

Hover over the middle-right side of the viewing window and click the right-facing arrow that appears to expose the Notes and Info panel.

Do the same along the middle-bottom of the viewing window to expose the Bin.

Move to a different item

To move to an item, click the item's thumbnail below the viewer.

Or, use the left and right arrow keys to move to the previous or next item.

View in full screen

To enter fullscreen mode, click the full screen icon at the top right of the viewer window.

Use the ESC keyboard shortcut or click the full screen icon again to exit fullscreen.

Adjust Time Display

The elapsed time of a clip can be displayed in three different ways:

  • Runtime
  • Timecode Offset
  • Frames

To toggle between the three, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the elapsed time display and select the desired time code display.
