To specify a transformation matrix

You can specify the relationship between the model coordinates and machine coordinates by entering a transformation matrix.

To specify the relationship between the Machine Datum and the PCS (CAD Datum):

1. Double-click PCS (CAD Datum) in the Sequence Tree.

   In the Transformation Matrix dialog, enter the rotations and translations that define the relationship between the model and the part.

2. To specify a rotation:
   1. Click Rotation.
   2. In the Rotation dialog, in the Axis list, select the axis around which you want to create the rotation.
   3. In the Angle box, enter the angle of rotation.
   4. Click OK to close the dialog.
3. To specify a translation:
   1. Click Translation.
   2. In the Translation dialog, enter the translation in the X, Y, and Z boxes.
   3. Click OK to close the dialog.
4. If you want to save the matrix for use with other inspections, click Save and enter the location and name of the file in which you want to save the details.
5. Click OK to close the dialog.
