Use a Change Probe item to insert a reminder to change the probe into the inspection sequence. Use it to specify the probe and sensor details, the probing angle, and whether you want to display a message when the item is played.
Note: Change Probe items are only available when creating inspections for Manual machines.
To create a Change Probe item:
- Connect to the measuring device.
- Click Measure tab > Items panel > Probe Change. The Change Probe Item dialog is displayed.
- In the Probe list, select the probe to be used. The Sensor box displays details of the sensor used for the selected probe.
- If you are using an indexable probe head and you want to specify the orientation to be used for the inspection, enter the A or B angles for the head.
The icon below the Probe head angles shows whether the probe head is calibrated
or uncalibrated 
for the selected orientation: - Click
to apply the change to the probe head. A message warns you that the probe head angles are about to be changed. Move the probe to a safe position, then click OK to close the message. - In the Change Probe Item dialog, click OK to add the item to the inspection sequence. For example:
