Specify the default settings for the Feature Probing dialog and the Point Cloud Tool dialog.

Display Options
When you measure a geometric item manually, PowerInspect switches to full-screen mode.
Probed points and measurements display in the Feature Probing dialog with the following options.
- Nominals — Display the nominal of each measurement for the item.
- Deviations — Display the calculated deviation from nominal for each measurement.
- Errors — Display the amount by which each measurement exceeds its tolerance.
- Tolerances — Display the upper and lower tolerance band for points, dimensions, angles, and certain unit vectors (such as the axis of a probed cylinder). For profile properties (such as circularity), the Feature Probing dialog displays the maximum tolerance only.
Tip: To change the measurement settings while probing a feature, click
in the
Feature Probing dialog.

Point-Cloud Options
When you measure a point cloud item, PowerInspect switches to full-screen mode.
The Point Cloud Tool dialog displays using the following options.
- Commit point clouds on pausing — Select the
Turn Committing On Pause
button by default.
