Automatically create a document that contains a measured inspection sequence by importing a machine-generated results file.
If you use Autodesk® PowerMill to write an NC program that contains a probing sequence, after you have run the program on the machine tool, you can import the results file into PowerInspect for detailed analysis of the inspection results. For more information about probing in PowerMill, see the PowerMill help.
- Click File tab > New > New Document from OMV Results.
- In the Open dialog, choose the results file.
- If you want to use a settings file (*.xml) to customize the properties of the inspection report instead of using the default settings in
PowerInspect:
- Select Use settings file. If the results file references a settings file that is in the same folder location, PowerInspect automatically chooses that settings file.
- If a file is not automatically chosen or you want to choose a different file, click Browse.
- If you want to create an inspection document with a CAD model:
- Select Use CAD file. If the results file references a CAD file that is in the same folder location, PowerInspect automatically chooses that CAD file.
- If a file is not automatically chosen or you want to choose a different file, click Browse.
- Click OK.
