When you select a feature from the CAD model using the Wireframe Checker, you can use the Geometry Explorer tab to check the nominals and create an item in the inspection sequence.
To create an item using the Geometry Explorer tab:
- In the Geometry Explorer tab, select

- Select Home tab > Mouse Context panel > Wireframe Checker.
- Right-click the CAD view, and then select a picking mode from the context menu.
- Move the cursor over the CAD model until the feature from which you want to create the item is highlighted.
- Click the wireframe to select the highlighted feature.
- In the Geometry Explorer tab, check that the item displayed is correct.
- To create an item that needs a reference plane, select a reference plane in the Linked to list. You can select a specific plane or select:
- Most suitable plane to use the nearest plane with the correct orientation.
- New probed plane to create a probed plane as reference for the item.
- New independent plane to create a reference plane from a nominal point and a nominal vector.
- Click
to add the item to the inspection sequence.
