Use the Digitised Points tab to view and edit the points in the currently selected Digitised Curve item. The upper pane displays the shape of the curve and the location of the points; the lower pane lists the point details. For example:
Working with digitised points
The digitised points table lists the locations and probing direction for all the points in the selected Digitised Curve item. Deselect the check box of a point to exclude it from the curve calculations; right-click a column heading and use the context menu to control the information displayed in the table. In addition, you can use the toolbar to manipulate the curve. Click:
to mark a surface discontinuity, such as a corner or edge.
PowerInspect uses separate calculations to create the two sections of the curve. The point is displayed in yellow, and the type changes to
Edge.
to mark a gap or a hole between the selected point and the next point. The curve is broken into two sub-curves; the points on each side of the gap are displayed in blue; and the point types change to
Gap Start
and Gap End.
to delete the selected points.
to connect the start and end points and close the curve; the button changes to
. Click the button again to re-open the curve. The start point is displayed in green and has a type of
Start. When the curve is open, the last point in the curve has a type of
End.
to show point numbers in the curve view. Click the button again to hide the numbers.
to show only the selected curve; the button changes to
. Click the button again to redisplay the CAD model and all curves in the group.
