Projects can directly contain many tools. Tools are shown in the Explorer under the Tools branch. Tools are often, but do not have to be, associated with a toolpath.
Tools are controlled by the Tool tab, context menus, and individual dialogs for each type of tool.
Each type of tool has a different icon:
