Corner Multi-Pencil Finishing Overview

Use the Corner Multi-Pencil Finishing strategy to create a multiple-trace toolpath by offsetting the equivalent single pencil finishing toolpath. This creates a smooth toolpath with a fixed width offset.

This strategy is useful for cleaning up corners that occur between non-tangential surfaces using multiple traces.

Note: The toolpath follows the trace lines.

There are several pages associated with the Corner Multi-Pencil Finishing strategy.

  • Corner multi-pencil finishing — The main page used to define a multi-pencil toolpath.
  • High speed — Settings to create arcs in internal corners to eliminate sudden changes in tool direction which is essential for high speed machining.
  • Corner detection — The settings to determine the location and extent of the toolpath.
  • Automatic verification — Settings to automatically verify the toolpath when calculating it.

The remaining pages are common toolpath strategy pages.
