Use the Tapping strategy to drill a screw hole by drilling the hole in one direction and then reverses out. This requires special tapping tools.
There are several pages associated with the Tapping strategy:
- Drilling — The main page used to define a tapping toolpath.
- Retraction — Settings to control how far the thread tool retracts between pecks.
- Order — Settings to control the order of machining.
- Automatic verification — Settings to automatically verify the toolpath when calculating it.
For more information on the Strategy Selector dialog, see Toolpath Strategies.
The common tabs are described in common toolpath strategy pages.
