Projection Surface Finishing Overview

The Surface Projection Finishing strategy is a type of drive surface machining. When multi-axis machining it gives 5-axis surface-normal parametric machining.

Note: You must select a reference surface for this strategy to work.

The pages associated with the Surface Projection Finishing strategy are:

  • Surface projection finishing — The main page used to define a surface projection toolpath.
  • High speed — Settings to create arcs in internal corners to eliminate sudden changes in tool direction which is essential for high speed machining.
  • Pattern — Settings to specify the limits and orientation of the toolpath.
  • Automatic verification — Settings to automatically verify the toolpath when calculating it.
  • Projection range — Settings to manually specify the projection range.

The remaining pages are common toolpath strategy pages.
