To play and navigate a simulation

Use the following options on the Simulation tab > Simulation Controls panel to play and navigate through a simulation:

  • Go to Beginning — Click to move to the start of the toolpath.
  • Step Back — Click to step back through the simulation by the specified increment
  • Play:
    • Play to End — Click to play the simulation to the end.
    • Play Increment — Click to play the simulation to the end of the current item. The item is defined by your selection from the Simulation tab > Simulation Controls panel > Increment menu.
    • Pause — Click to pause the simulation. This button is only available when the simulation is running.
  • Step Forward — Click to step forward through the simulation by the specified increment.
  • Run to End —Click to move to the end of the toolpath.
  • Speed — Move the slider to the right to increase the simulation speed. Move the slider to the left to decrease the simulation speed.

    To change the simulation mode select File tab> Options > Application Options and then select Simulation > Simulation Mode. The following options are available:

    • Feed rate — Select this option to simulate at a speed relative to the feed rate.
    • Points — Select this option to simulate at a speed relative to a constant number of toolpath points per second.
    • Distance — Select this option to simulate at a constant speed relative to the distance moved by the tool.
