Use the Macro page of the Options dialog to specify the mouse options when recording macros:
- Click File > Options > Application Options > Tools > Macro.
- Use the following options to specify the mouse macro settings:
Macro Mouse Simulation
These options enable a macro to show mouse movements.
When you record a macro, the button clicks and their positions are recorded, but by default the mouse movements between clicks are not recorded. This keeps the macro file to a reasonable size and optimizes performance. However, for demonstration and testing purposes, this option can be useful to see the dragging and rubber-banded mouse movements.
Selecting the Dragging and Moving options affects subsequently recorded macros. When you run macros, the mouse is shown dragging and moving between the button press and release points. The mouse movement characteristics are controlled as follows:
- Increments affects the number of steps between points. A large value makes it move smoothly, but possibly more slowly. A low value means larger increments and faster movement, but possibly causing jerky motion. The default values provide a good compromise between speed and smoothness.
- Delay controls the wait time at each incremental step.
Macro Directory
This is the default directory where recorded macros are stored and run from.
