Editing Multiple Views

You can select multiple views and edit them simultaneously using the Edit Multiple Views dialog.

Note: You can use box selection to select the required views. To deselect drawing views from the total selection, use Ctrl+Click on the view.

You can use the following editing actions on a multiple selection of views:

  • Delete
  • Convert
  • Move
  • Rescale
  • Set centrelines and centre marks
  • Set view detail
  • Update the view to display the edits.

To edit a multiple selection of views:

  1. Select the views you want to edit.
  2. Right-click one of the view to display the context menu.
  3. Select Modify to display the Edit Multiple Views dialog:

  4. Use the following options to edit the views:
  • Scale — Enter a value to change the scale that objects are displayed in the selection of views.
  • Centres:
    • Mark — Select to mark the centres of cylindrical surfaces.
    • Lines — Select to draw centre lines on cylindrical surfaces and circles.
  • Detail — Select an option to determine how objects are displayed in the selected views.
  • Display Hidden Lines — When Hidden is selected from the Detail drop-down list, you can select this option to display hidden lines in the views.
  • Update — Select this option to update the display of views with any changes made.
