Creating an Automatic dimension

When creating an Automatic dimension, the type of object you select determines the type of dimension created. For example:

  • If you select a line, or enter two positions, a linear dimension is created.
  • If you select an arc, a radius dimension is created.
  • If you select a circle, a diameter dimension is created.

If no Automatic dimension is available for an object, PowerShape accepts the selected position as the first of a two-position dimension.

You can also create specialized dimensions for tapped holes.
