The Define product shrinkage page lets you specify the product shrinkage factor and a shrinkage origin.
The shrinkage factor is the amount by which the mold cavity increases to allow for shrinkage.
- Select a Material from the drop-down list. The list displays the abbreviated names of the materials; when a material is selected, the full name of the material is displayed below. A predefined value (dependent on the material selected) is inserted into X, Y and Z.
- The materials are stored in a file called
material_shrinkage.csv in:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\PowerShapexxxxx\file\diewizard
where xxxxx is the version number of PowerShape and C is the disk on which PowerShape is installed. You can edit this file as required.
- Deselect
Uniform shrinkage to set different shrinkage factors for
X,
Y and
Z.
The X, Y and Z coordinates of the shrinkage origin are displayed. The coordinates are relative to the active workplane.

dialog.
