Drafting provides tools to create a 2D representation (an engineering drawing) of your model.
Note: The availability of this feature is license dependent.
There are two ways you can create a drawing of your model:
- Using wireframe.
- Using a 3D model created in PowerShape.
Tip: Where possible, create a solid of your model before drafting from it. This improves the quality and speed of hidden-line views. It also improves the accuracy of dimensioning.
You can fully annotate your drawing using tools such as hatching, dimensioning, and text.
To start Drafting:
- Click Draft tab > Drawing panel.
- Click New to create a new drawing, or click Open to display the Drawing Selector
dialog.
Note: Use View tab > Window panel > Arrange & Switch to switch between the modelling window and the drawing window. When you select a drawing window, the Draft tab > View panel options become available.
