Specifying Extraction Settings

The Feature Extraction Settings dialog specifies how the extraction automatically generates and the depth of view in the Section View.

To open the Extraction Settings dialog

  1. If not currently in editing mode, click Linear Feature Extraction.
  2. Click Feature Extraction Settings on the toolbar. The Feature Extraction Settings dialog displays with the following settings.
  • Alignment Algorithm Threshold. Specifies the confidence threshold of the reference data to continue linear feature extraction. If the value during extraction becomes lower than this baseline, auto extraction will pause. A warning dialog will then display, offering two options:
    • Stop. Extraction stops to allow the cross section to be adjusted. Extraction will need to be started again once complete.
    • Ignore. The extraction continues to the next cross section interval until the threshold is not met again.
  • Step Interval. The distance between each cross section during extraction.
  • Cross Section Depth. The depth of view as seen in the Cross Section View.
