Manage Feature Schema

Learn to customize your feature schema for both point and linear features to help display and document your work in a point cloud.

1. Click Feature Template panel if the Feature Template browser is not visible.

2. Click on the Feature Template browser to open the Manage Schema dialog.

   

The Manage Schema dialog has a tab for each feature type: Point and Linear. Along the left side of the dialog, your existing schema are listed under Point/Line Name.

Note: Line schema are applicable to 3D feature edges.

The following tools and fields help create, design, and edit your schema that are available when placing point features or tagging linear points.

• Add. Adds a new schema to your list with default empty settings.
• Remove. Deletes the currently selected schema from your list.
• Title. The name of the schema.
• Color. The color of the representative point.
• Feature Code. Assigned featured for the point.
• Class Type. General classification for the point.
• Description (Point only). User-defined additional information about the feature point.
• Add Property. Adds user-defined additional information to the schema. The property includes name and value.
• Cancel. Closes the Manage Schema dialog without saving any changes to the schema.
• Save. Closes the Manage Schema dialog and saves changes to the schema.
