Working with Autodesk Cloud-based Solutions

In this section, we'll cover all of the basics to help you understand cloud-based ReCap workflows. Learn to collaborate online, leverage cloud computing for photogrammetry, and view and extract point cloud data through Autodesk cloud-based solutions.

Photo-to-3D

Photo-to-3D allows you to create high-fidelity 3D models from digital JPEG photos (photogrammetry). An option is available to conjoin with the automatic engine by manually inputting survey points for photo stitching.

Exports

You can export and share your scan projects from ReCap by syncing files with your Autodesk Drive account. You can further collaborate, navigate your point clouds, and use advanced annotation tools.

Web Application Functions

ReCap uses Autodesk Drive and Autodesk Docs to:

  • Store and organize imported photo and scan projects.
  • Navigate in orthographic views & RealViews.
  • Share and collaborate.
  • Download your projects.
  • View photo projects in textured, wireframed, and shaded modes.
