Navigation Options

Each of the navigation options can be access through the menu on the Navigation toolbar. The most common options; pan, zoom and orbit and be used directly from a wheel mouse.

Fit to view

Selecting the fit to view tool will restore the home view of the model from any position it is in.

Hotkey: Home

Zoom

When the Zoom tool is actuated you can change the view scale by clicking and dragging the mouse. Dragging the mouse up will make the model appear larger, and down will make the model appear smaller. The change of view size is centered on the location of the mouse. At any time you can also roll the wheel of a mouse to change the view size. Rolling the wheel toward the screen will have the effect of moving a camera closer to the model making it appear larger. Rolling the wheel away from the screen has pulls the camera back.

Hotkey: Z

Pan

If the Pan tool is active, it moves the models view position in the canvas by clicking and dragging the primary mouse button. Pan can also be accessed by clicking and dragging the mouse wheel without the need to start the tool in advance.

Hotkey: X

Orbit

Orbit rotates the model based on the pivot point. When it is active you can click and drag the primary mouse button. It can be started at any time by clicking and dragging the third mouse button.
