Selection Options
Selecting faces is a critical step in many of the tools in ReCap Photo. You can initiate selection and toggle between the three selection options by using the Tab key. The selection options can be toggled between adding faces to the selection set or removing them using buttons that appear at the near the toolbar. Once a selection has been made, other options will be presented for inverting the selection and for isolating the current selection set.
Toggled by: Tab
Brush
Brush selection will display highlighted area around the brush icon but selection is done by clicking. The size of the selection area can be changed using the icon that appears near the toolbar or by holding Ctrl and rolling the mouse wheel to make the area larger or smaller. The selection will only be the visible faces. To select faces on other parts of the model you must select them separately.
Lasso/Fence
The Lasso/Fence selection option is a hybrid tool that works differently depending on the use of the primary mouse button. Clicking multiple times will build a polygonal fence for selection. Clicking and dragging the mouse will define a curved lasso selection. The faces selected will be the ones visible when selecting and those immediately behind the selection.
Window
Clicking and dragging a window around mesh faces will select the faces in view and any faces in line with the window on the opposite side of the model.
