Synchronizing and Opening Point Cloud Projects

Once an aerial image project is processed, click "Download and open point cloud" in the project thumbnail. This synchronizes the RCP from Autodesk Construction Cloud or Autodesk Drive to use ReCap Pro for further workflows. This tool is disabled when an object reconstruction project is processed as point clouds are not generated for object based projects.

Click this tool to open a dialog to synchronize project files.

Click proceed to synchronize and open the point cloud from Autodesk Drive or Autodesk Construction Cloud in ReCap Pro.

Important Notes

• For older Photo to 3D projects, clicking "Open mesh in the cloud" occasionally initiates a download of the output file as a zip archive instead of directly opening the mesh file.
• Photo to 3D projects processed in ReCap Pro 2026 or later are not visible in the Cloud Dashboard of earlier ReCap Photo versions.
