Mesh Editor Limit Box
Control the visibility of the mesh model by setting a limit box around a particular area of the loaded data. By default, the Limit Box Boundaries align with the outer extents of the mesh model loaded into view. Once specified, mesh surfaces (or partial mesh surfaces) will be visible if within the extents of the limit box.
Show Limit Box
. Displays the extents of the limit box in the view space so its size and position can be modified.
To modify the extents of the limit box:
- Click and drag any face along its axis.
- Hold SHIFT key to quickly change between forward and back facing surfaces.
- Click and hold any vertices to rotate the entire limit box around the selected vertices axis. For example, if you select a vertical vertex, the limit will rotate around the Z axis.
Reset Limit Box
. Resets a limit box to the model extents.
Reset Limit Box to Current Selection . Resets the limit box extents to fit the currently selected surfaces.
- Display Limit Bounds
. Displays the extents of a limit box as a view only. The limit box extents cannot be modified with only these extents displayed.
Note: If a surface falls partially outside of a limit box, then it will not be selectable using the Window or Fence selection modes. they can only select surfaces that fall completely within the selection extents, which is not possible if any part of the surface is hidden.
