Scan to Mesh Quality Levels
You can define the quality level when using Scan to Mesh.
Low: Choose this setting when you care about an object's main features but not so much about its small details. In a scan of a building for example, you can expect a mesh with good quality walls, roofs and recognizable doors and windows. But door knobs may not be easily recognizable.
Medium: Choose this setting when you want good quality main features with a reasonable amount of small details. Using the scan of a building as an example, you can expect a mesh with good quality walls, roofs, doors, windows, and also recognizable door knobs.
High: Choose this setting when you want to preserve all small details as much as possible in the mesh. With this quality setting, you can expect a mesh of a building with high quality walls, roofs, doors, windows and also door knobs.
Generating texture
Generating textured meshes is supported for structured scans only. Users can also specifically opt to skip generating textures to reduce the waiting time if textures are not required in their workflow.
- You can opt to skip generating textures to reduce the scan to mesh processing time.
- For projects containing structured and unstructured scans, points that are only visible in unstructured scans will not have texture generated for them.
