Link a ReCap Mesh Model

To view your ReCap Mesh Model within Revit, it needs to be linked into an existing project as an external reference. This can be done through the feature in the ReCap Mesh ribbon item.

1. In Revit, click ReCap Mesh tab > ReCap Mesh panel > Link ReCap Mesh Model.

   The Link ReCap Mesh Model dialog box opens.

   

2. Under Add/Update, select a positioning option.

   • BySharedCoordinates. Specifies the coordinates set up in the project.
   • Origin to Internal Origin. Places the origin of the mesh model at the origin of the Revit Project.
   • Centre to Centre. Place the center of the mesh model extents to the center of the Revit project.

3. Click Add Model to navigate and select the generated *.rcmr file.

4. Press Open to confirm the selection.

5. (Optional) Remove a linked mesh model by selecting it from the list of models and clicking Remove Selected Model.

6. (Optional) Adjust the positioning of the mesh by selecting the entry in the Positioning column. This will display a drop-down list of options.

7. Press OK and the mesh model will be linked into the project.

If the path to a linked file is invalid, select on the mesh from the list of models and click Reload From to relocate the missing file.
