Transversal reinforcement (stirrups)

There are several parameters of transversal reinforcement (stirrups) defined in the Reinforcement of columns dialog:

• Stirrup parameters
  • Stirrup types for columns with a rectangular cross-section
    
    
    
    
  • Only 1 stirrup type is available for columns with a circular cross-section
  • Type, diameter, and material of bars
  • Hooks
  • Cover value a (defined for each stirrup type)
  • Value of the parameter s (defined for second and third stirrup types): ,

• Stirrup distribution
  • Distribution type

    uniform

    distribution zone with denser spacing in the lower part of the column

    3 zones of stirrup distribution (denser spacing in the lower and upper parts of the column)

  • Geometrical parameters (s _n , l _n ,s _t , l _t ), based on distribution type
  • Range of stirrup distribution (stirrups can be distributed to the level of the slab or of the beam)
