• Select Columns in Special Loading Conditions in the Member Definitions - Parameters dialog, and then click Special Columns.

Dialog elements

Spaced column

Select this option for double-rectangular shapes connected by evenly distributed blocks.

• Fixity conditions - Specify which fixity condition to use in order to perform the calculations according to paragraph 15.2 of the code.

  Two conditions are allowed: a and b.

• l3 length - Represents the distance between the center of the spacer block and the centroid connection of an end block.

  Specify if this value is Absolute or Relative to the member length.

Build-up column

Select this option for members consisting in two or more pieces of wood with their wide faces fastened together mechanically.

• Connection type - Specify the type of connection: Nailed or Bolted to perform the calculations according to paragraph 15.3 of the code.
