The dialog for generation of a principal beam-to-beam (web) or a principal beam-to-beam (flange) connection has 3 main parts:
- On the left are options for selecting a component used to define a steel connection:
- geometry
- sections
- connectiong elements (plate or angles)
- stiffening elements (stiffeners or seat profiles)
- fasteners (bolts or welds).
- In the center, you can define parameters of a selected element of the steel connection.
- On the right is a graphical view of a defined element of the principal beam-to-beam connection.
Note: The number of tabs in this dialog depends on the selected type of a connecting element or stiffening element and the connection type: welded or bolted.
