Use this option to save a section to section database (user-defined database).
Access the option by:
- Clicking Tools layout > Section Definition.
- Clicking File menu > Save to Databases, or clicking
on the toolbar.
After you have selected the option, the Saving Section to Database dialog displays.
To save a section to a database:
- Define the name - 4 characters maximum (digits are not allowed).
- Define the dimensions characterizing the section
If 1 dimension is defined, type the value in the Dimension 1 field.
If 2 dimensions are defined, type the values in the Dimension 1 and Dimension 3 fields.
If 3 dimensions are defined, type the values in the Dimension 1, Dimension 2 and Dimension 3 fields.
For Section Type, define the nature/type of the section; it is used during structure design process.
The units defined in the bottom of the dialog concern the section type (the current section dimension units are assumed).
