Grouping drawings in one format

Using the Robot software, you can group drawings generated for an RC structure in smaller format (such as A4) in a drawing of greater format (such as A2). The process consists of 2 steps:

Generating a drawing in a smaller format

  • Set the page format for plotter drawings
    • Click Window menu > Add view > Drawings to display a window with a blank drawing page.
    • Click File menu > Page setup, specify the page format on the Page tab of the Page setup dialog, and click OK.
    • Close the Drawings edit window.
  • Calculate an RC structure element.
  • Open the drawing.
  • Click File menu > Save.

Grouping drawings

  • Set the page format for plotter drawings
    • Click Window menu > Add view > Drawings to display a window with a blank drawing page.
    • Click File menu > Page setup, specify the page format on the Page tab of the Page setup dialog, and click OK.
    • Refresh the contents of the edit window by clicking (Zoom All).
    • ClickView menu > Arrange Drawings Automatically.
  • Open the drawings saved in smaller format - click Insert menu > Drawing, and select a drawing in the dialog.
  • Grouping of drawings; beside the cursor, a rectangle displays, symbolizing the page size of the inserted drawing; under the cursor, a tooltip displays the drawing page number.

    The default cursor grid is 4mm x 4mm.

    To move the cursor in slow mode, press and hold CTRL.

    To skip a page and insert the next page, press ESC.
