Stud settings
- Height.
Specifies a stud height.
- Stud diameter.
Specifies a stud diameter.
- Single stud cost.
Cost of each stud used in calculation of the beam cost and in cost optimization.
- Proportional Group Factor
When enabled, it allows interpolation of group factors between code-supplied values when more than one row of studs is required only along part of a beam length.
- Use segmented studs (when available)
Select this setting to use segmented stud distribution for girders, saved in Robot. See Design Assumptions - Studs. Segmented distributions are saved as a comma-delimited list, ordered from the start point of an analytical beam.
- Material
Specifies steel used for studs, steel strength (Fu) and Young's modulus (Es). You can select:
- Custom, for user-defined material. Then accept default or specify your values of Fu and Es.
- Database material.
- Minimum and maximum spacing limits.
Specifies the minimum and maximum allowable spacing for studs.
- Put Minimum studs on Non-Composite Beams.
Select this option to add studs for the beam designed as non-composite (using the Design Non-Composite procedure).
