The object is used for twisting objects. The option is available using either method:
- Click Edit menu > Edit Objects > Twisting.

The option is available for the following structure types: shell and volumetric structure. The option is available if Solid Modeler is installed.
Twisting an object or a part of an object is performed around an axis. In the Origin (P1) and End (P2) fields, specify the coordinates for the following:
- Axis position (axis position is determined by two points).
- Object area (that is, segment length) to be twisted. This area is located between two planes (which pass correspondingly through the origin and endpoint) that are perpendicular to the axis.
In the Angle field, specify the angle by which all the points positioned on the plane determined by the endpoint, are rotated. The area located between the planes is rotated (twisted) so that continuity between the area located between the defined planes and areas placed above and under these planes is ensured.
The degree of twist (rotation angle) for all the planes positioned between the origin and endpoint (that is, between the defined planes) is interpolated. There are 3 types of interpolation (that is, of ensuring continuity between the twisted area and untwisted areas):
- Sharp (G0 continuity) - Linear functions are applied in interpolation.
- Smooth (G1 continuity) - Third-degree functions are applied in interpolation.
- Very smooth (G2 continuity) - Fifth-degree functions are applied in interpolation.
